A plan is the ultimate gift you can leave a loved one.

Asking where do I even begin? You’re not alone—many people feel unprepared to plan for death. I see loved ones everyday who were struggling to deal with their grief while hunting for passwords, subscriptions, car titles, mortgage accounts and bills.

As a death doula, attorney, and end-of-life planner I’m here to help with personalized support in creating your end-of-life plans, organizing digital assets and making sure your legal and health directives are completed and off your to-do list.

Death is hard. Make it easier on your loved ones by leaving behind a comprehensive roadmap of your wishes.

Who are virtual end of life plans for?

  • Millennials, Gen X & Beyond

Most people don’t think about death until retirement, but life can change at any time. Now is the time to get prepared for your future and those you love.

  • The Experienced

You've seen what happens when someone dies without a plan and you don't want that stress repeating for your other loved ones.

  • Those Starting New Chapters

A big life change means it’s time to get your plans in order, for the first time or an update—recent marriage or divorce, children, income increases or accumulated assets, and serious medical diagnoses.

Marni Black - End of Life Planning and Death Doula

(…and recovering lawyer, trained mediator, entrepreneur and death doula)

There’s nothing I love more than skipping the small talk and connecting with people on a deeper level. As soon as someone hears what I do, I can noticeably see the relief on their face at finding someone comfortable talking about death, dying and grief.

I’m in your corner, whether it’s to help initiate hard conversation with your parents or facing your own end-of-life plans. With years of training, a law degree, intimate knowledge of how to navigate the logistics of death, and a healthy dose of humor — we’re going to get through this together.

What to expect

End of Life Planning and After Loss Consultant

We start by getting to know each other

If you’re not ready to hop straight into a session, let’s sit down to get acquainted first. During our initial conversation, we'll discuss what you’ve started in terms of planning (if anything), your preferences, values, and how we can best organize. This allows me to tailor my approach to meet you or your family’s individual needs and ensure we tackle what’s most important to you.

Create a roadmap for your loved ones

In your 60-minute session and 30- min follow-up, you’ll also have a safe space to ask all of your questions about death, dying, and planning your estate. Whether it's ensuring your medical wishes are respected, or organizing your financial affairs, I work closely with you to understand your unique needs. Through thoughtful discussions and personalized guidance, I will help you navigate the complexities of estate planning, end-of-life decisions, and getting your digital life & assets organized.
